It is very important to ask yourself some questions when your ex-lover tries to crawl back and you don’t know whether or not your relationship deserves a second chance.
1) Let him impress you. More importantly, be impressed by him and let him know it. He wants to impress you. On some level he needs to. Acknowledge his efforts, his progress, and his success. Avoid condescension. This is a time when you want to point out his strengths and make him feel as though you are on his side. Get in the habit now and you will have little trouble following through with this positive trend as you build a new and improved relationship together.
2) Modify the way you look at him. Do not look at him as he’s a dreadful person. Treat him with dignity and he will treat you the same. Be open to conversation just like the first time you meet him.
3) Laugh at his jokes – even if you’ve heard them all a thousand times. Laugh as if it is the first time you are hearing them and you believe he is the funniest and most clever man in the world. If you practice often enough you might even discover that he is the funniest and most clever man on the planet. Regardless, you’ll have him convinced he is and that is half the battle.
4) Set life and romantic goals. Some relationships don’t have its future goal that’s why they were destroyed. Setting up goals will strengthen the relationship and will stand whatever test to come.
