Making The Life You Want

Posted on 31st December 2011 in Dating Tips

Do you know someone who has a distinct talent but is not making their living from using that talent? Is that someone maybe you?

I’ve heard that: it isn’t easy to change to a new way of making a living. * what the person is doing does not allow them the chance to change to what

they prefer doing. * that the person cannot give up what they’re doing to begin something else.

Are you dreaming of doing something different in your life and do not see your way clear to doing it? Do you have the courage to look just a little deeper than these excellent reasons for not doing what you prefer doing?

Maybe you want to but lack certain skills to make such a change. But, if we really want to, we can! It takes courage, much more than what you might have been required to muster. It IS possible.

We’d need to be elastic enough to adapt our plans and to adopt new paths that open up along the way. Therefore if we are light of spirit and take our plan as an exploration journey, it is fun too. And scary.

We do not need to alter our plan all the time. If we feel we want to pursue a particular path further, then by all means, we should do so.

Here comes the part that you might not be prepared for. The above takes confidence. We might not feel we have the confidence to take on such a journey and then to be so flexible when required or by contrast be inflexible when we feel we need to stick with a particular path for as long as we feel it necessary.

Why is this? Why is it that we might not have the required confidence? From past experience, you might have noticed a pattern – that things you do, don’t work out. And you might have become despondent and do not even want to attempt another uncertainty. And you might see attempting something important as too risky.

Consider this! Do you want instant gratification? Is this mature? Why is it that you have not succeeded thus far?
